South African Bridal Industries Academy Awards 2009

Great news!  At the 2009 SABIA Awards Ceremony, The Owl’s Nest was awarded the gold medal in the category “In-House Wedding Planner” voted for by the brides and grooms of 2009.

Thank you to all our brides and grooms who voted for us in this competition.  Congratulations to the team at The Owl’s Nest.

Launch of our new website

August saw the launch of The Owl’s Nest new website. Please take a few moments to view the changes and we would appreciate any feedback, positive or negative.  We hope it gives you a new, fresh look at what we have to offer.  Especially the further development of twelve double chalets which provide accommodation for your guests at your function.

Specials

As the world went in to a recession all prices sky rocketed.  This makes it virtually impossible to plan your dream wedding! We at The Owls Nest have decided to fight back by not to increasing our prices for 2010! In addition kindly contact us for further specials on functions & weddings for 2009.

Evening of worship

An exciting special event took place at The Owl’s Nest on Friday 18 September. A group of worshippers, led by Saartjie Majoor gathered together to spend an entire night worhipping the Lord. Everyone arrived at 19:00 for refreshments and fellowship. After a time of prayer and preparation, all were ready to enter the place of worship that Saartjie had prepared – fit for the King.

The theme was ‘Hearts beating together.’

Let me feel YOUR HEARTBEAT LORD! I want to feel the RHYTHM OF YOUR HEARTBEAT LORD! I want my heart to beat in time with YOURS.

All night long the strains of music drifted out over the countryside – a blessing to everyone who heard it – especially the Father. The following morning, after a welcome cup of coffee and after breaking bread together, the worshippers made their way home having spent time in the presence of the Lord.
